Hurricane Season is June 01 - December 01. Summer weather in the South is often unpredictable. We make every effort to make sure your setup service is available for use from minimum of 10 am – 3 pm, but weather events may shorten the day and sometimes interrupt service. Storms can be a daily occurrence releasing humidity. We closely monitor weather throughout the day (and night) and make decisions based on several different sources of information. Our priority is the safety of our customers, staff and to protect the equipment, so you will have a umbrella for the duration of your stay. Wind hazards alone cause over 1,500 hospital visits annually from umbrellas blown down the beaches. Lightning is one of the leading weather-related causes of death and injury in the United States. Most of us do not realize that we can be struck by lightning even when the center of a thunderstorm is 10 miles away and there are blue skies overhead. These possibilities of potential injury and death to staff and customers are taken very seriously. If there is a rain/wind weather event,services may not be offered for safety reasons. You will be notified if such an occasion occurs. Wind can have the largest impact on service. Winds of15-20 mph can impact service. With the amount of sand blowing on the beach at those wind-speeds, most of our customers find it more pleasant to spend the day off the beach. Our Setup Service Packages are built with a discount already in place to cover any cancellation issues. Multiple Service days are discounted from our daily rate. This savings is approximately two free days comparably. If weather cancels service for more than two days of your rental week, we will issue a future credit for a prorated amount. Setup/Breakdown Service Information: Our Vacation Equipment Rentals Staff will place your chairs and umbrellas on the beach in front of your cottage. Your chairs and umbrellas will be "setup" between 8:00-10:00AM based on your location and volume of setups. Your beach towels will be in a bright lime green bag tagged with your last name. The back side of the tag will provide contact information. Fresh Beach towels wil lbe delivered daily as long as beach towels are placed back inside the green bag for pickup during daily breakdown. Once your equipment has been set-up, our Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear Staff will send you a text message informing you your setup is complete. The Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear Staff will return to “break down” your chairs and umbrellas between the hours by 3:00PM - 5:00PM based on your location and volume of breakdowns. Should you wish to stay at the beach longer and choose to breakdown the equipment yourself you may at your own risk but you are required to make sure the equipment is off the beach and all equipment is returned to storage location, locked &secured and is ready for your setup service the following morning. If you are leaving the beach early for the day or do not wish to have setup service one day as you may be going sightseeing and enjoying our local area attractions simply call 843-215-2700 and let us know. Due to certain property restrictions the chairs and umbrellas will be returned to your rental cottage daily or picked up and redelivered daily. If storage of the equipment is at your location you are free to use the equipment at your own risk. You may use the equipment anytime, for example: after our required breakdown, days in which the setup is not scheduled or the setup was cancelled due to rain or wind hazards and the sun appears later. Should you choose to setup/breakdown the equipment yourself you may but you are required to make sure the equipment is off the beach and all equipment is returned to storage location, locked & secured and is ready for your setup service the following morning. If stored at your location you will to call for your lock code information should you choose to use your equipment after hours. Terms and Conditions Setup Service: Lessee is asked to collapse all umbrellas before leaving the items unattended(lunch, etc). In case of severe weather (wind or rain), staff will make a judgment call for setup. Customers (lessee) can call the office 843-215-2700at any time with weather concerns. A text notification will be sent if setup is canceled for that day. If morning setup is complete and inclement weather arises, lessee is responsible for removing equipment from the assembled position and bringing to dune line if a wind hazard occurs (between 10am and3pm). Service includes only 1 daily set-up and breakdown of equipment each day. Lessee is responsible for all damaged or lost equipment due to negligence. If you wish to skip breakdown for the day, personally complete it at your leisure or are finished early for the day simply notify our office at 843-215-2700. Service Restrictions Apply. Service available for Ocean Front Homes, Condos, and Motels/Hotels in Southern Garden City Beach, Litchfield Beach, Pawleys Island Beach.
