Golf Cart Rental - 4 Seat Gas Lifted Model by Vacation Gear Rental Restrictions: Refer to your Property Manager for any vacation property restrictions. Golf Carts are not permitted at Condominium Complexes and within some communities. Guests are responsible for confirming golf carts are permitted at their vacation property and the ability to charge golf carts at property. The power cord end requires 110v service with a recommended 20-amp circuit. It is your responsibility to ensure that receptacles with adequate power are available at cart delivery locations to charge the cart. Extension cords to reach receptacles are not permitted. Please review our cancellation policy. Only persons that are 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license and insurance are allowed to drive the Golf Cart. You may allow other drivers to drive the cart who possesses the fore-mentioned criteria, but you will be held responsible for the cart no matter the driver. All South Carolina Traffic Laws must be obeyed. All fines issued by the local police departments are the responsibility of the recipient. People who are new to golf carts are often surprised by how similar driving them is to driving cars. Golf Carts are NOT equipped with standard safety features airbags, lane & brake assist etc. Knowledge of Hand Signals is required. Golf Carts must be driven with extreme caution and care. Do not make turns at high rates of speed. slow down to turn or make corners etc. The financial responsibility for repair and replacement costs is high. Our carts are inspected for damage at the point of delivery and pickup. In the event the cart is damaged during the rental period, the repair cost will be charged to the lessee. Damage and repair/replacement costs will be charged to your credit card. Our carts are inspected for damage at the point of delivery and pickup. In the event the cart is damaged during the rental period, the repair cost will be charged to you. Golf Carts are NOT permitted on the beach. Do NOT Operate the Cart in The Surf. Doing so will result in the loss of the use of the cart. At no time should there be more than 4 (basic golf cart) or 6 (limo golf cart) passengers on the cart. Allowing more than 4 or 6 passengers on the cart will result in contract termination. Golf Carts are generally allowed on streets that have speed limits of 35 MPH or Less.  Golf Carts are locked upon delivery. Secure Golf Cart & Charger Always. Key must be removed from the cart anytime the cart is left unattended, and the cart is to be locked. Missing or lost keys will result in a $50 charge. Per South Carolina state law, “Daylight Hours” means after six o’clock a.m. and no later than six o’clock p.m. * However, beginning on the day that daylight saving time goes into effect through the day that daylight saving time ends, “daylight hours” means after six o’clock a.m. and no later than eight o’clock p.m. All other hours are designated as night-time. Your order has been placed for a Standard/Base Model Golf Cart. The cart is NOT equipped with headlights, taillights, turn signals and seat belts. The golf cart may not be driven at night, dusk, or dawn. Should your cart have lights, the lights will be disconnected as local laws restrict night driving and you will be ticketed. Do not take the golf cart out without first making sure your cart is fully charged. Carts should be always plugged in, when not in use.  Carts that are not plugged in can self-discharge and virtually “kill” the battery pack.  Batteries should be charged after EACH period of use, no matter how short you used it. The length of time it may take a golf cart battery to charge depends on the amount of current charge. Charge times can vary from 1-4 hours on average. If the battery is depleted and using a small power output, charging can take upwards of 10 hours. It is recommended that the Cart be placed on the charger anytime it is not in use or at a minimum it should be charged every night. Even if you have only used the cart for 10 minutes, you still need to charge your golf cart batteries. This will ensure you get the most out of the cart for the duration of your rental. Keep in mind, gas carts cannot and are not designed to run continuously without charging the batteries. Typically, an gas golf cart has between 45 and 90 minutes of full-power run time on a fully charged battery for approximately 10 – 15 miles. Running times will vary and will be shortened if the cart is driven in loose sand or when carrying 4 or 6 passengers, full or heavy loads. Charging an gas golf cart is a simple process. First, locate the charging port on the cart, which is typically found in the front or rear of the vehicle. Next, ensure that the cart is powered off and remove the key from the ignition. Then, plug the charger into a power outlet, making sure that the outlet is compatible with the charger's voltage requirements. Once the charger is plugged in, insert the other end of the charging cable into the charging port on the golf cart. The charger should automatically start the charging process. It is important to let the golf cart charge fully, which usually takes several hours, and avoid interrupting the charging cycle. Short charging will promote unbalanced batteries. Once the battery is fully charged, unplug the charger from both the power outlet and the golf cart. Charger is “automatic” and will shut off automatically when the cart is fully charged. The large grey end of the charger plugs into the cart just below the driver’s seat and will only fit one way. Keep in mind, gas carts cannot and are not designed to run continuously without charging the batteries. Running times will vary and will be shortened if the cart is driven in loose sand or when carrying 4 or 6 passengers. Cart chargers need to be always kept out of the weather and off the beach. We suggest that the charger be left at the residence while operating the cart, in a secure location. Replacement costs for the charger are $500.00. Should a problem arise we ask that you first check to ensure that all operating instructions are being followed, the charger has sufficient power, and the charger is connected properly. If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact Surfside Beach Golf Carts immediately and we will send out a mechanic as soon as possible. In the event we are requested to make a service call and it is determined that the problem is the result of improper operation of the cart or failure to properly connect the charging system a $75.00 fee will be charged.

SC South Carolina 6 Passenger Base Model Gas Golf Cart Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear are only allowed for delivery to Beach Vacation Rental Homes. Guest is responsible for confirming ability to charge Standard/Base Model Gas Golf Cart Rental at property. You need not be present during delivery. Every effort is made to deliver all items between 3:00-4:00PM. Depending on your delivery location on the driver’s route, your items may already be delivered by the time you arrive! If your vacation rental items have not arrived by 4:00PM, you may contact us for updated delivery information or location. As we are unable to control congestion, construction, weather, mechanical delays, etc., we ask for your patience and understanding should we experience delays. Various equipment can be delivered on separate vehicles/trucks. We do not offer compensation due to late delivery.

Unsatisfactory rental items must be reported to Vacation Gear Rentals within twenty-four (24) hours of check in time. If unsatisfactory linen rental or gear rental items are not reported within twenty-four (24) hours of check in time items are then deemed satisfactory and the renter will be held liable for any damage found upon pickup w/out prior report to Vacation Gear Rentals. Effective your arrival day, we do not offer Refunds. We will replace your item, offer alternative equipment of a comparable value, or issue a credit for a future rental.  Please report all requests for exchanges or additional equipment by 12:00PM to ensure same day service.  Requests made after 12:00 PM will be serviced the following day.

Golf Cart Rental - 4 Seat Gas Lifted Model by Vacation Gear Departure Preparation: At the conclusion of your stay, it is imperative that you leave the cart charging with a FULL CHARGE on the charger. Failure to leave the cart on the charger with a FULL CHARGE upon the completion of your rental will result in a $50 charge. Upon completion of the rental, the cart should be washed off thoroughly. Do not use a pressure washer, a water hose will be sufficient. Make sure that the charger does not get wet, and that the entire cart is rinsed, including the battery compartment and the undercarriage. Failure to wash the cart at the completion of rental period will result in a $50.00 cleaning fee. Leave the golf cart in the same location it was delivered & make sure to lock & secure the cart.

Vacation Gear Satisfaction: Vacation Gear guarantees satisfaction. Upon arrival renters must inspect all rental items for satisfactory condition. Unsatisfactory rental items must be reported to Vacation Gear at 843-215-2700 within twenty four (24) hours of check in time. If unsatisfactory rental items are not reported within twenty four (24) hours of check in time items are then deemed satisfactory and the renter will be held liable for any damage found upon pickup w/out prior report to Vacation Gear. Upon Delivery Day, we do not offer refunds, we will replace your item if dissatisfied, offer alternative equipment of a comparable value or a credit for a future rental.

Vacation Gear Cancellations: Cancellations without penalty must be made 90 Days Prior To Arrival. Cancellations made 60-89 Days prior to arrival will have a 25% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 30-59 Days prior to arrival will have a 50% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 15-29 Days prior to arrival date will have a 75% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 00-14 Days prior to arrival are non-refundable. Minimum cancellation fee is $10.00. Upon Delivery Day, Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear do not offer refunds. Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear will replace your item if dissatisfied, offer alternative equipment of a comparable value or a credit for a future rental.

Vacation Gear Rental Protection: Rental Protections is not insurance. It is an agreement between the lessee and Vacation Gear that limits the lessee's financial responsibility for damage to rented equipment, in exchange for a fee. A fee of 10% the rental rate shall be paid in advance of rental commencement date covers up to $250.00 of replacement or repair parts & labor costs. Exclusions for the Rental Equipment Protection excluded but not limited to theft, loss, intentional acts, gross negligence, abuse, willful misconduct, damage caused by pets, damage resulting from lessee's breach of rental contract, damage resulting for violations of application laws, damage due to misuse, unintended use of equipment, use of equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol, by unauthorized, unlicensed, uninsured individuals. Cleaning fees for uncleaned equipment or replacement cost of linens not properly placed for pickup or not returned. A deductible of one month’s rent or replacement cost whichever is the lessor will be charged to the customer for damaged equipment.

Vacation Gear Lessee Disclosure: The Lessee acknowledges that Lessee has inspected the equipment and has determined that it is in good condition and suitable for the purpose for which it has been leased upon delivery. The Lessee shall only use the property in the manner for which it is designed and intended to be used. Lessee assumes all responsibility for equipment while out of possession of the lessor and promises to return such equipment to the lessor in as good condition as it was at the effective date of the lease, natural wear from a responsible use expected. Lessee shall be liable for all charges, including labor costs to repair or replace rented equipment, any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of leased property. All equipment lost or damaged beyond repair will be paid by the lessee at regular replacement price. All damaged equipment which may be repaired will be repaired by the lessor, on return thereof and the cost for such repairs shall be paid by the lessee. Accrued rental charges cannot be applied against the purchase price or cost of repairs of such damaged or lost equipment. If equipment is returned in unusable condition, the rental term and fees for rental continue until equipment is repaired or replaced to usable rent-able condition.

Vacation Gear Lessee Indemnification: Lessee shall indemnify and hold Vacation Gear Rentals, it's officers, directors, agents, employees harmless from all claims, damages (including consequential damages), losses, liabilities, claims, suits, cost, expenses, or proceedings (including all costs, expenses, and attorney's fees) resulting from, related to, or arising out of Lessor's use or possession of the equipment. This equipment shall be used by the Lessee only. This writing contains and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. This lease agreement can only be modified by a written agreement signed by both Lessor and Lessee. The Lessee represents that Lessee is at least eighteen (18) years of age and under no disability which will prevent Lessee from entering into this agreement. Lessee agrees not to part with or assign this lease or the equipment without the written consent of the Lessor.

Vacation Gear Lessee Risk: All equipment is used at Renter's risk. Renter understands that there exist certain risks of injury from the use or misuse of such items, including the potential risk of serious injury, disability, or death from the use of such items and agrees to assume all risks in connection with rental equipment, regardless of fault, including without limitation risk of use, risk of loss, risk of theft, risk of damage or destruction. Renter assumes all responsibility for rented equipment while in Renter's possession. Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Vacation Gear Rentals Inc. and their officers, shareholders, owners, operators, agents, and employees from any claim arising from renter's use, operation, or possession of the rented equipment. Under no circumstances will Vacation Gear Rentals Inc. be held responsible for any damage to person or property, disability, injury, or loss, including death, arising from the use of any rented equipment or the failure of the equipment to function as intended by the manufacturer.
