Position: The helmet should sit level on your head and low on your forehead one or two finger-widths above your eyebrow. Side Straps: Adjust the slider on both straps to form a “V” shape under, and slightly in front of, the ears. Lock the slider if possible. Buckles: Center the left buckle under the chin. On most helmets, the straps can be pulled from the back of the helmet to lengthen or shorten the chin straps. This task is easier if you take the helmet off to make these adjustments. Chin Strap: Buckle your chin strap. Tighten the strap until it is snug, so that no more than one or two fingers fit under the strap. Final Fitting: A. Does your helmet fit right? Open your mouth wide…big yawn! The helmet should pull down on your head. If not, refer back to step 5 and tighten the chin strap. B. Does your helmet rock back more than two fingers above the eyebrows? If so, unbuckle and shorten the front strap by moving the slider forward. Buckle and re-tighten the chin strap, and test again. C. Does your helmet rock forward into your eyes? If so, unbuckle and tighten the back strap by moving the slider back toward the ear. Buckle and re-tighten the chin strap, and test again. D. Roll the rubber band down to the buckle. All four straps must go through the rubber band and be close to the buckle to prevent the buckle from slipping

Know your Hand Signals: A bicyclist shall indicate a right turn by extending the left arm upward, by raising the left arm to the square, or by extending the right arm horizontally to the right. A bicyclist shall indicate a left turn by extending the left arm horizontally. A bicyclist shall indicate stopping or decreasing speed by extending the left arm or the right arm downward. A bicyclist is not required to give signals provided for in subsection continuously if the hand or arm is needed to control the bicycle. A violation of this section is punishable by a fine of twenty-five dollars.

The Lessee shall only use the property in the manner for which it is designed and intended to be used. Lessee assumes all responsibility for equipment while out of possession of the lessor and promises to return such equipment to the lessor in as good condition as it was at the effective date of the lease, natural wear from a responsible use expected. Lessee shall be liable for all charges, including labor costs to repair or replace rented equipment, any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of leased property.  All equipment lost or damaged beyond repair will be paid by the lessee at regular replacement price. All damaged equipment which may be repaired will be repaired by the lessor, on return thereof and the cost for such repairs shall be paid by the lessee. Accrued rental charges cannot be applied against the purchase price or cost of repairs of such damaged or lost equipment. If equipment is returned in unusable condition, the rental term and fees for rental continue until equipment is repaired or replaced to usable rent-able condition.

Bicycle Helmet Rental Child Bike Helmet Rental Beach Vacation Equipment Rentals by Vacation Gear Rental Lessee Indemnification: Lessee shall indemnify and hold Vacation Gear Rentals, it’s officers, directors, agents, employees harmless from all claims, damages (including consequential damages), losses, liabilities, claims, suits, cost, expenses, or proceedings (including all costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees) resulting from, related to, or arising out of Lessor’s use or possession of the equipment. This equipment shall be used by the Lessee only. This writing contains and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. This lease agreement can only be modified by a written agreement signed by both Lessor and Lessee. The Lessee represents that Lessee is at least eighteen (18) years of age and under no disability which will prevent Lessee from entering into this agreement. Lessee agrees not to part with or assign this lease or the equipment without the written consent of the Lessor.

Renter understands that there exist certain risks of injury from the use or misuse of such items, including the potential risk of serious injury, disability, or death from the use of such items and agrees to assume all risks in connection with rental equipment, regardless of fault, including without limitation risk of use, risk of loss, risk of theft, risk of damage or destruction.  Renter assumes all responsibility for rented equipment while in Renter’s possession. Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Vacation Gear Rentals Inc. and their officers, shareholders, owners, operators, agents, and employees from any claim arising from renter’s use, operation, or possession of the rented equipment. Under no circumstances will Vacation Gear Rentals Inc. be held responsible for any damage to person or property, disability, injury, or loss, including death, arising from the use of any rented equipment or the failure of the equipment to function as intended by the manufacturer.

It is an agreement between the lessee and Vacation Gear that limits the lessee’s financial responsibility for damage to rented equipment, in exchange for a fee. A fee of 10% the rental rate shall be paid in advance of rental commencement date covers up to $250.00 of replacement or repair parts & labor costs. Exclusions for the Rental Equipment Protection excluded but not limited to theft, loss, intentional acts, gross negligence, abuse, willful misconduct, damage caused by pets, damage resulting from lessee’s breach of rental contract, damage resulting for violations of application laws, damage due to misuse, unintended use of equipment, use of equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol, by unauthorized, unlicensed, uninsured individuals. Cleaning fees for uncleaned equipment or replacement cost of linens not properly placed for pickup or not returned.  A deductible of one month’s rent or replacement cost whichever is the lessor will be charged to the customer for damaged equipment.

Cancellations made 60-89 Days prior to arrival will have a 25% cancellation fee applied.  Cancellations made 30-59 Days prior to arrival will have a 50% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 15-29 Days prior to arrival date will have a 75% cancellation fee applied. Cancellations made 00-14 Days prior to arrival are non-refundable. Minimum cancellation fee is $10.00.
