The National Arborist Association founded the day to encourage people to appreciate the natural beauty of evergreens. n botany, an evergreen is a plant which has foliage that remains green and functional throughout the year. This contrasts with deciduous plants, which lose their foliage completely during the winter or dry season. Did you know Palm trees are ever greens? While palm trees are evergreens, they can still be damaged by cold temperatures. While not all palms can handle the cold, there are species that have evolved to endure frigid temperatures. Did you now on average, most palm trees live for around 100 years, which is a pretty impressive feat. However, some species can live for much longer, up to 600 years in some cases!
